ABOUT DR. EDWIN LEE, MD

Environmental toxins, hormonal disruption, and immune aging are converging to accelerate chronic disease and biological decline at an unprecedented pace. From endocrine-disrupting chemicals to inflammatory proteins circulating in the blood, these invisible burdens undermine metabolism, cognition, and longevity long before symptoms appear. Edwin Lee, MD, has devoted his career to addressing these root causes—combining endocrinology, regenerative medicine, and cutting-edge detoxification strategies to help patients restore balance, resilience, and long-term health.

Dr. Lee is a board-certified endocrinologist in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, with advanced training in Regenerative and Functional Medicine. He is the founder of the Institute for Hormonal Balance in Orlando, Florida, established in 2008. A graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Dr. Lee completed two fellowships—Critical Care and Endocrinology—at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also an assistant professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and an internationally recognized author and speaker, with his most recent book, The Fountain of Youth with Peptides, focusing on peptide-based strategies for healthy aging.

A leader in clinical research, Dr. Lee serves as the lead investigator for an IRB-approved senolytic study examining the effects of dasatinib and quercetin on immune modulation, biological aging, and cellular senescence. He is also a co-founder of the Clinical Peptide Society and the founder of SavePeptides.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting patient access to peptide therapies.

Dr. Lee is one of the founding physicians of MDLifespan and a key contributor to the scientific framework behind its PlasmaXchange protocols. He is the author of a published case report on Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) titled Improving Biological Age, Telomere Length, and Cognition: A Case Report on the Use of Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, Peptides, Umbilical Cord Tissue Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Exosomes in a Patient with Cognitive Decline. This work highlights the potential of TPE, when integrated with regenerative therapies, to favorably influence biological aging markers, cognitive performance, and systemic inflammation—core pillars of MDLifespan’s clinical mission.

Beyond the clinic and the lab, Dr. Lee embodies the principles of longevity he teaches. An Ironman triathlon finisher with a personal record of 4 hours and 30 minutes in a 100-mile cycling event, he remains deeply committed to physical performance and lifelong vitality.

As a founding physician of MDLifespan, Dr. Lee brings unmatched expertise in endocrinology, peptides, and therapeutic plasma exchange—helping shape evidence-based protocols that confront the toxin crisis, slow biological aging, and redefine what is possible in regenerative longevity care.
