Every day, we ingest and inhale microscopic plastics and endocrine-disrupting chemicals like BPA—substances with no place in the human body. These toxins don’t just pass through; they accumulate, disrupt hormones, and fuel chronic inflammation. Dr. Lyn Patrick has spent nearly four decades sounding the alarm on these invisible threats, translating complex environmental medicine into actionable strategies for both clinicians and the public.
A doctorate-trained naturopathic physician (Bastyr University, 1984), Dr. Patrick is internationally recognized for her work in preventive and environmental medicine. She is a sought-after educator on detoxification, metal toxicology, endocrine disruption, and the health effects of microplastics and BPA. Her leadership includes serving as Faculty for the Metabolic Medicine Institute Fellowship (in collaboration with the George Washington School of Medicine) and as Medical Director of the Environmental Health Symposium. She also chairs educational committees for the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM), shaping the conversation on environmental health policy and practice.
Dr. Patrick supports MDLifespan’s PlasmaXchange Protocols as a science-backed, physician-led solution to the microplastics and chemical burden crisis. By removing endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, and inflammatory compounds, therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) can help restore a cleaner biochemical environment—critical for reproductive health, fetal development, and long-term disease prevention. “In my three decades of clinical work in environmental toxicology, I have not seen detoxification data this compelling,” she says.
MDLifespan’s protocols have demonstrated measurable impact: up to 100% decrease in heavy metals, 90% decrease in microplastics, and 80% reduction in chronic inflammation. These results align directly with Dr. Patrick’s mission to confront the global toxin crisis at its root.
