ABOUT JAMES SCHERZINGER, CPA

James Scherzinger, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer of MDLifespan, where he is leading the financial strategy and overseeing the nationwide expansion of MDLifespan’s PlasmaXchange. With decades of experience in tax, accounting, audit, business valuations and strategic consulting, Jim brings significant expertise in finance, tax and regulatory compliance, financial system control requirements, business structuring and the development of transactional and planning solutions to MDLifespan’s mission of advancing personalized healthcare and toxin removal therapies. 

Before joining MDLifespan, Jim served as a Managing Principal at Cray Kaiser, a certified public accounting firm, where he played a pivotal role in driving the firm’s strategic consulting initiatives. Over the years, he has advised clients across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, consulting and professional services, real estate, health services, construction and finance. These services included routine annual services, cash management, exit planning, transactional assistance and due diligence. Most client relationships were entities in the middle markets of their respective industries and many of these trusted client relationships extended for several decades and through many corporate development stages.  As one of three Certified Valuation Analysts at Cray Kaiser, Jim has helped clients understand market transfers, internal company transfers, and family and generational transfers of business assets and wealth. His deep knowledge of exit strategies ensures that clients protect their wealth, preserve their legacy, and make informed business decisions for the future. 

Jim’s professional expertise extends beyond finance into real estate, holding a license as a real estate broker. He earned his degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois-Champaign and has been recognized for his leadership in financial consulting and valuation strategy.
