The RGCC liquid biopsy test yields three possible results: No Cancer Markers and No Circulating Cancer Stem Cells (negative, negative), Cancer Markers but No Circulating Cancer Stem Cells (positive, negative), or both markers present (positive, positive).
If the first result is produced – of no cancer markers being detected – then it’s likely that you are free from cancer. That said, however, our providers do encourage yearly screenings with this method for peace-of-mind assurance.
In the second analysis, cancer markers are detected even though there is no indication of circulating cancer stem cells. This suggests a possible early-stage detection and does not require an oncologist’s intervention.
